I love everything about them, from the colour, the texture to the taste.
They are not the cheapest of vegetables though. So when we do have them, they are a yummy treat. My favourite way to cook them is to fry them.
- Tsp of butter or olive oil
- Salt and ground pepper to taste
- Melt the butter or olive oil in a griddle pan over medium heat.
- Add the asparagus, salt and pepper.
- Cook for around 10 minutes, turning the asparagus often to ensure even cooking.
