  1. Hello again, Claire!

Fun!!! I love your outfits ~ you look lovely in red. <3 Pinned the top photo of you to my Fun and Funky Fashions board. :) Back in 2005 after my mother passed, I was able to take my children over to England to see my brother and his family who were living up north in Cambridgeshire, in Sawtry. Gene was working for the US Air Force then {now retired} and he and his family lived in a lovely farmhouse, once the farm manager's home back in the 1930's or so. He was stationed at RAF Molesworth, a lovely base.

While there, my sister-in-law and our five children visited Huntington, St. Ives and a few other towns. We watched Jane Austen movies {our favorite authoress!} on the DVD player in the evenings, the kids played in the Wendy house on the property, and we thriftshopped to our hearts content ~ I came home with a barley twist tea cart, a drum table and a whole lot of books!!! We had a great time visiting London for seven short hours but the boys and my brother enjoyed the British War Museum while we girls went to the V & A.
What a great trip! I do hope to get back there again one of these days, and this time to visit much more of London. Funny, years ago coming back from Germany with 60 other exchange students through New York {1981}, we took a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and it was under restoration so was covered in scaffolding. When I get to visit again, Big Ben will probably be under similar circumstances as I hear it is going under restoration now.

Happy Christmas, again, to you and yours,
    Barb Chapman :)
